Every Boras HS client is going to make noise about going to school. Almora will sign. On the 1% chance that he doesn't, the Cubs will have 2 top 10 picks (and the enormous budget that comes with it)in a draft that's much better than this year's. I'm not too concerned

Alfonso Soriano over his last 38 games: .299/.353/.604 with 11 homers. He has raised his OPS by almost 400 points since then.

Cubs fire Rudy Jaramillo today and replace him with minor league hitting coordinator James Rowson. Rowson had been with the Yankees for years and was brought over this season. Jaramillo was in the final season of his rather large contract.
According to some random Yahoo article, the Cubs can promote Rizzo June 23 (tomorrow) and not risk him becoming an FA before 2018. I would bet Rizzo is in Chicago before the end of the month.
