Maybe they're working on a small trade of one of the Cs. Also when is Blanco back?
Fresh off the AS break, the pitchers are rested so no pressing need to add an arm immediately.
My only concern is that Soto may not be ready and a real solution at C would be nice. But those don't grow on trees.
What I don’t get is why the did these as corresponding moves, especially when all they’ve talked about for the last few weeks is how they need to add another pitcher.
Listening to Piniella on the pregame show yesterday, it seems that he wants 12 pitchers permanently. Not that I agree that he should get that, but I think this is why they're doing it.
