Yet another 1928 Athletic makes the HOM! I believe that makes 7. Might not be the all-time record, but that's a 20th century mark that will be difficult to match.

I almost had my tally agreeing with the official one - I just had one mistake. Tracking it down, I had an extra vote for Buzz Arlett - I had yest recorded as voting for Arlett. Let's put it this way - that would be pretty unlikely. (It was actually a vote for Hack Wilson.)

This means Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Simmons and Croning are all in the HOM. So is Hubbell.

I can't be the #1 consensus guy! I'm gonna have to talk myself into Buzz Arlett #1 or something!

I had all the top guys, but only Beckwith from the top-ten. My guys are either being timelined out or they are too exotic (Bridges, Arlett)

Carl G,

Jump on the Arlett bandwagon! Look at his pitching! Look at his hitting! This guy would have easily been a HOFer had he played east of the Mississippi. You're telling me he wasn't better than Earl Averill?

'You're telling me he wasn't better than Earl Averill'

Yes, thats exactly what I'm telling you, though I'm not confident enough in Arlett to say it with absolute certainty.
