Thanks, Joe. That really helps!
   2. MattB Posted: November 13, 2003 at 01:54 PM (#517571)
I concur with John. This thread has made the project much easier for me to navigate.

In case Joe missed it in the other thread, however, can we please add the Negro League thread to the "Important Links" area?
   3. OCF Posted: February 13, 2004 at 03:06 AM (#517572)
Joe D.: This page, useful as it is, doesn't need a discussion thread. I notice that in the Primer Studies area, tangotiger sometimes closes off discussion of an item, leaving only the header and its links. I you know how tangotiger does that in his area, perhaps you could do that to this page.

Now this is at the top of the Blogpen section all the time, not so good.
   5. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: July 11, 2010 at 03:03 AM (#3585383)
Found and fix . . . this thread was archived, I've opened it back up . . . is this an issue with other threads as well?
   6. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: July 11, 2010 at 03:04 AM (#3585384)
Yeah it looks like it. None of the links work, and the links only go back to 1958. This is not good.
   7. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: July 11, 2010 at 03:31 AM (#3585389)
OK, this is a start . . . looks like we've got the links through 1971 back and the links for 1971 works.

I don't see any threads after the integrity of the ballot thread listed though . . . not sure if I was only able to unlock the threads I posted? Still digging . . .
   8. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: July 11, 2010 at 04:09 AM (#3585406)
OK, I think all of the links are working for the results, ballots and discussions now. Please let me know if a link is broken, I didn't click them all.

Also, I was only able to open up the threads I posted, not the ones John set up . . . working on getting that fixed as well. Please let me know if there are any other issues.

Thanks!

I'm just a guy that likes reading some of the HoM threads. I saw a comment somewhere else that suggested the HoM had, for some reason, died. Did something happen, or are you guys just taking a nice summer vacation?
   10. DanG Posted: August 11, 2010 at 12:45 PM (#3613662)
Perhaps when Joe is over his SABR convention hangover we'll get going again.
   11. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: October 28, 2010 at 10:18 PM (#3678491)
Hey guys . . . I guess I'm finally over that hangover . . . We should probably talk about scheduling the 2011 election. I've been emailed there was some discussion, should I set up an thread for it?
   12. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: November 04, 2010 at 08:08 PM (#3684081)
Just a heads up, everything that had been archived is now open for business again. I stickied the important links threads as well. I think we've got it all covered, but if something needs tweaking, please let me know. Thanks!
   13. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: November 04, 2010 at 08:11 PM (#3684084)
1081 threads overall. Guess we've been pretty busy over the last decade. January 8, 2002 is our birthday.
   14. Paul Wendt Posted: November 06, 2010 at 10:05 PM (#3685112)
continued from "Ben Taylor"(!).

At the moment "Important Links" also appears in the sidebar and that link takes me here.

Probably the list of important links should combine the best of both versions by including near the top all four of
(Links to discussions of) Negro Leagues Stars, Latino Stars, 19th Century Players, and 20th Century Players.

P.S. The nearly empty page Tetelo Vargas is missing from the Latino Stars directory.
   15. Giants fan since 66 Posted: January 01, 2012 at 07:17 PM (#4026677)
I am new to your site, as a long time fan I love what you guys have done. I have always felt there were way too many guys in the HOF that didn't belong there and a few that did belong there that weren't ( love the fact that Minnie Minoso is HOMer, long overdue to be put in hall). Keep up the good work!!
   16. DL from MN Posted: January 01, 2012 at 11:06 PM (#4026825)
Looks like we need to edit this thread to include MMP links.
   17. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: December 12, 2012 at 04:03 PM (#4323327)
I cannot figure out why the 2012 election results link does not work. It's driving me insane, any ideas?

DL, definitely need to do that. It's just busy work, not all that hard to do, assuming the URLs are somewhat uniform. This year I will go back to making the results URL's simple, i.e. 2013_results . . . not having the full description in the URL.
   18. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: December 12, 2012 at 04:04 PM (#4323328)
Thanks for the love Giants fan since 66, glad to have you around.
   19. JoeD has the Imperial March Stuck in His Head Posted: December 12, 2012 at 10:06 PM (#4323539)
It has to be some kind of a bug in the URL with the ... in there. I literally copied and pasted from the link in post 70 of the 2012 results thread, which works. The main post must not be able to handle the ... that's the only thing I can think of.

So for now, the 2012 results are linked here :-)

Thanks.
