I was a little surprised that Jeff Kent didn't add any support.

There will be quite a few good players piling up for the vets committees to assess. I really preferred the old committee structure - can't imagine why they went away from it. All the PED guys will crowd out other guys who should be getting consideration.

Starting pitchers make all the money but relievers are the Hall of Famers. Idiots.

Starting pitchers make all the money but relievers are the Hall of Famers. Idiots.

2022 Met SP Chris Bassitt - 3 years, $63M from Jays. will be 36 when contract ends.
2022 Met RP Edwin Diaz - 5 years, $105M from Mets. will be 33 when contract ends.

$21M each, and Diaz is 5 years younger.
great closer vs. good starter. Maybe the Mets got a steal!

:)
