This ties the record for fewest names on an MMP ballot.

Maris barely edged Mantle in the AL.

Number of times listed on an MMP ballot

16: Mays, Aaron
11: Mathews, Mantle, Robinson
6: Banks, Drysdale
5: Bunning
4: Boyer
2: Groat, Maris

Maris barely edged Mantle in the AL.

Just as in real life - in our poll, Roger edged out Mickey by two points, in the actual MVP vote he beat him out by 3 points, 225 to 222!

So it looks like Drysdale was the top pitcher? Is that his first win for that?

1957 Drysdale was 3rd behind Sullivan and Bunning
1959 he got a couple of votes
1961 Drysdale was 2nd to Spahn
1962 Drysdale was 3rd behind Aguirre and Pascual
1964 Drysdale was 2nd to Dean Chance
