Best player to not receive a vote - Darrell Evans. Best pitchers - Charlie Hough and Steve Carlton

Fewest number of players to receive votes since 1967 and that was not a 13 person ballot. Schmidt ties Aaron for 10 times on a ballot. 6th ballot for Gary Carter, 4th for Rickey, Yount, Fisk and Dawson.

BTW - everyone who has made 5 MMP yearly ballots has been elected to the HoM with the exception of Dave Concepcion. Concepcion's showings were 15, 16, 18, 20, 25.

BTW - nobody has ever won the MMP and never appeared on another ballot. This is Ripken's first ballot but I expect him to continue that trend.

Edit: Also Mike Trout but I'll go out on a limb and predict that it's true for him as well.

I've got Lloyd Moseby as the best player without a vote and Steve Carlton as best pitcher w/out a vote.

I have a feeling Steve Carlton would have received a vote if we had more voters. This is one reason having only 9 ballots bothers me.
