Sorry for the Downtime This Morning

Sorry for the downtime. Our server host migrated our server to newer hardware. The downtime was supposed to be minimal but the changeover took longer than expected. Their timing wasn’t the best either. Please let me know if you notice anything wonky.

Sorry again for the inconvenience.

BTW, you can follow me on Twitter for updates on stuff like this and some baseball tidbits from time-to-time.

Traffic on I-95 was very heavy this morning.

Heh...

Well, actually, it worked out great -- was ready to waste another day at work in anticipatory chatter... saw the note on FB, figured it was some kind of sign - so scavenged an SRO on stubhub for the Cubs-Cards. No way I'd make it through this game without a chatter to keep me sane... so figured this is one of those things having a job and no kids was made for. Now happily getting ready to head out to take in my first-ever playoff game in person.

FWIW, site seems blazing fast at the moment - good news as I'll be mobile for the Big Event!

Go Cubs!

Go Baseball!

Go REAL Hooky rather than Pretend online Hooky!

Please listen to all the choices as our menu has recently changed.

Your call is very important to us.

Damn snappy, fo sho! Maybe the old hardware or guest o.s. was contributing to the sluggishness after all??

The site is much faster for me too. Trading morning downtime for better prformance in the evening is a clear win.

I'm just happy it's back up in time for the games.

Jim's various adventures with various server hosts over the years have given me a very low opinion of such people.
