Baseball Primer Newsblog — The Best News Links from the Baseball Newsstand Thursday, January 27, 20222022 Caribbean Series2022 Caribbean Series starts Friday morning at 9AM in Santo Domingo. Each of the six teams play each other once with the top four teams playing in the semis on Wednesday and the final on Thursday. Friday/Saturday/Sunday schedule is 10AM,3PM,8PM, Monday/Tuesday is 10:30AM,3PM,8PM. MLB’s website still has a link to 2019’s series up so that’s helpful. Baseball24.com is a site I find pretty good at updating; Friday: PR 2-3 Panama, Colombia 6-1 Venezuela, DR 3-2 Mexico Wednesday: Semifinal A 3PM, Semifinal B 8PM All games are being televised on ESPNDeportes. That's a big win for Colombia. DR, PR and Mexico are likely to advance so Venezuela, Panama and Colombia are probably fighting for one spot. Colombia have beaten both of those other two teams already.

Panama 1-1 -1
PR 0-2 -3

Happy Semi-Final Day everyone!
2PM Venezuela at Colombia
7PM Mexico at Dominican Republic
Caimanes de Barranquilla become the first Colombian team to ever win the Caribbean Series in a 4-1 final over the Dominican representative. It was a 3 run second that led the way and the pitching made it stand up!
Raul: Oh where are you from?
Jose Sr.: Cuba, how about you?
Raul: Oh I’m Colombian. And how are you?
Jose Sr.: I’m well, how are you?
Raul: Oh I’m great. I’m a big baseball fan and Colombia just won the Caribbean Series!
