A little further down the pipeline, these are 8 Cardinals prospects to keep tabs on

I love this type of deep dive on lower level prospects in a system. It’s helped me find hidden gems with late draft picks.

No, no, no! The Cardinals aren't supposed to have prospects, they're supposed to pluck the guy who's hitting .189 for your favourite team, so he can hit .350 for them!

Aren't they better at picking up other teams' reject pitchers and making them put up a 2.75 ERA for 10 starts at the end of the season?

#1: Nope the Cards have mastered both ends of that market. It's true they don't have prospects, they just have an endless supply chain of Duncan, Descalso, Freese, Ludwick, Schumaker, Craig, Adams, Jay, Piscotty, Grichuk, Diaz, Pham, Gyorko, DeJong, Bader, Edman, O'Neill, Carlson, Nootbar. I'm pretty sure their Cards' WAR adds up to about 200 and their post-Cards WAR about 5.

Making more money, living a better and happier life are always the top wishes we secretly and sometimes openly have for ourselves at the beginning of every year and 2022 will not be an exception. In addition to money, we wish ourselves and friends and neighbors alike good health, bountiful blessings, God's grace and happiness but we know if we have more money it means God has answered all our prayers. To strive to make the New Year better than the previous one, we write down New Year resolutions and pray that all our wishes come to pass. Best Books of the Year 2022
