Gotta be the first time a 64 year old Hall of Fame stolen base champ tops the list.

Is there a way to view the list if you’re not a BA member?
   3. RoyalsRetro (AG#1F) Posted: January 18, 2023 at 12:47 PM (#6113577)
No.

By team:

Orioles 8
Guardians 7
Dodgers 6
Mets 6
Rays 6

Braves 0

Wonder when the last time the Braves had zero top prospects? Obviously their roster is loaded with young players right now.

Those poor Dodgers!

3/atlanta: I believe that this is the first time that has ever happened.

Rickey's a young sixty-four.

Split him in half and he’d be two 32 year old top prospects

It's paywalled, so I can't complain about exactly how few Tigers there are.

Where's Jordan Walker, Masyn Winn, Gordon Graceffo, and Tink Hence?

Curious Cardinals fan...

EDIT:
4-Walker
47-Hence
48-Winn
79-Liberatore

Graceffo just misses the cut.

I was surprised to see Liberatore on the list, thinking he was like 25 years old now, but he actually just turned 23.

Give me Graceffo over Liberatore

The Braves farm system is utterly barren, but they come by that status honestly, so it's hard to complain too much.

@RMc: Tigers have Jobe at 83.

That's the list.
   13. Walt Davis Posted: January 19, 2023 at 02:05 PM (#6113661)
OK, is Brennen Davis still in the top 100? Did Pete Crow-Armstrong make the cut?
   14. RoyalsRetro (AG#1F) Posted: January 19, 2023 at 03:09 PM (#6113669)
Crow #25, Davis #84, Alcantara #91

Re 12: Ouch.

Has the list itself always been behind a paywall?

I feel like I at least remember being able to see the list before, though I haven't looked in quite a while.

Is the prospecting industrial complex getting better as an industry? Or are six of the eight Orioles on the list just going to break my heart five years from now?

I dunno, you got any numbers handy on how well they did in the past?

My impression is that they have been very good with the top prospects although I suppose those are the easiest ones. It does seem that when they tab some 20-yo as hot stuff, the guy delivers pretty well. Julio Rodriguez for example was top 10 at BA and BPro and top 20 at MLB back in 2020 and was consensus top 3 prior to 2022. Bobby Witt still has a long way to go to fulfill his #1 ranking but he wasn't a bust in year 1. I had some doubts about Rutschman just due to age but obviously they did their job on that one.

I assume pitchers are still hit and miss because of injuries. So Grayson Rodriguez is probably a good bet to break your heart but Gunnar will probably do no worse than "disappoint" by becoming a 2-3 WAR 3B. By year's end, Jackson Holliday will probably either be top 5 (get excited) or drop 20 spots (trade him now!!!)

For those that don't know, going back a fair while now, you can get a player's top 100 history at b-r by looking at their "register" page which for MLers is under the "minor league stats" tab and for minors/foreign guys is their main tab.

Sure, but Jared Kelenic and Jo Adell and Jurickson Profar, etc.
