1. cardsfanboyThen maybe pitchers realized he was Tommy Edman and not Paul Goldschmidt? Because he hasn't hit a lick since then. His defense is still top notch, but his bat has completely disappeared and he's been moved from the top of the order to the bottom.
CFB - have you watched a lot of games this year? Any idea what happened to Edman's stick?
He had a hot April, that's all.
He has a career 100 OPS+, and he's at 99 in 2022. His hot April was canceled out by an abysmal July, and he's been more or less average in May, June, and August.
That's who he is: a league-average bat who can play outstanding defense pretty much anywhere on the field.
