Brewers calling up top prospect Keston Hiura

Robert Murray of The Athletic reports that the Brewers are calling up top prospect Keston Hiura. He’s a second baseman.

Milwaukee started the season with Mike Moustakas playing second and Travis Shaw at third, but Shaw’s struggles — he’s hitting .163/.266/.281 (46 OPS+) and that just can’t happen to a team defending a division crown. With Hiura in Milwaukee, Moustakas should switch back to third more regularly while the kid gets a chance. Ken Rosenthal reports that Shaw will either go on the injured list or be sent down to Triple-A.

So, where does this rank in terms of great baseball names?

I can easily see myself thinking it's "Heston Kiura" for several years before I finally get it right.

Seems like a pretty nice bat.

Poorly. Sounds like some kind of tropical disease to me.

"The whole expedition was struck down by a rare variant of kestoneura"

Edit: But his full name is fantastic!

Full Name: Keston Wee Hing Natsuo Hiura

As opposed to the more common variant, which is harmless and ubiquitous in the human microbiome.

Of course. I don't think we can digest lactose without a healthy amount of kestoneura in our gut.

His first ML hit was lined right off of the pitcher. How often does that happen? I can't think another example, off the top of my head.

I think it sounds more like one of those disorders they can only refer to euphemistically in drug ads:

Men over 50 - do you suffer from kestoniura? We can help. Ask your doctor about Savapek today.
