1. Born1951 Posted: May 19, 2021 at 10:40 AM (#6019611)Hey, Mario outhit these guys by 16 pts for his career!
cue the weird rant we are going to hear today from mike wilbon over on PTI ...
Rioting in the streets? Check.
Historically low baseball offense? Check.
Dominant Tiger pitcher? Check.
Ladies and gentlemen...1968 is back!
The Seattle Mariners are batting .199, Joe Biden is batting .528.

Interestingly I also watched Mark Melancon close out the game for the Padres. He really doesn't have that good stuff, or even particularly good control (he walked the bases loaded if I remember) but the batters couldn't do much but try to work a walk and swing hard and hope they get lucky, just like with the Turnbull no-hitter.
Seems like it is time to lower the mound and/or move it back
(and restrict pitchers from fielding bunts, and restrict pickoff throws like they are doing in the minors, and make non-closer relief pitchers throw at least 2 or 3 innings).
Isn't Biden over 50% in popularity?
Rioting in the streets? Check.
Huh? What riots are you thinking of?
As noted above, in the RMC household perhaps, but not for the majority of American adults recently polled.
Required a bunch of polls that have huge pro-Biden samples -- Biden +14 or +20 in the November vote obviously does not comport with reality -- to get him barely over 50%. You'd think people would have learned by now that public polling is largely trash.
Corey Kluber did his part with yet another no-hitter...
Alec Mills, Joe Musgrove, Carlos Rodon, John Means, and Spencer Turnbull.
Wade Miley is 34.
