Dodgers’ Julio Urias arrested on domestic violence charges

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence charges late Sunday night.

Urias, 27, was taken into custody after 11 p.m. Sunday night and released just after 1 a.m. Monday morning on $50,000 bond.

Urias was previously involved in a domestic violence incident in 2019, when he was accused of pushing a woman he was with.

The lefty was not charged, as the alleged victim told investigators she fell.

Urias was suspended 20 games by MLB under the Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse Policy.

They also have prospect Ryan Pepiot, a lower top 100 coming into the year. I assume he's been hurt most of the year (just 40 IP between minors and majors) but has done OK so far and had a nice start the other day. The Dodgers pen is solid, above-average, but not incredible so the Dodgers offense will have to carry them.

I figured my 90-minute computer crash would open the door for some poster, but twas not to be be:

ANYONE?

09.03... Walker Buehler (elbow) struck out two over two perfect innings in his rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Spin: Buehler tossed 24 pitches (15 strikes) en route to retiring the side in the first and second innings. According to J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News, Buehler's fastball sat between 93 and 96 miles per hour in the first inning, and he was able to mix in a cutter, slider, sinker and curveball to complement the heater. Per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, Buehler will likely need at least two more rehab starts prior to being activated from the 60-day injured list, making mid-to-late September the target for his 2023 debut with the Dodgers.

He's always wanted to play in Japan and now is his chance

Could be Trevor Bauer's teammate there next year.

So he did it at a major league soccer game ? The one where Messi was playing ? I'm gonna guess he's got a drinking problem

Urias seems to have been charged with "corporal injury on a spouse". And given that had to go through a year long domestic violence counseling program after his 2019 incident, well as others have said, good chance he never pitches in MLB again.

You never know.
