1. ERROR---Jolly Old St. NickHis July month old daughter? Or is it something sinister?
His best comps are Mark Lewis (a very similar batter whose career was truncated because he was injury-prone and a below-average fielder) and Gene Baker (who didn't get his chance until age 29 due to the color line, played four years as a full-time regular, then suffered a catastrophic injury in his age-33 season).
Ziggy: Social distancing since 1980, approves this message.
A place where a guy who made $11M for his 8 year career, can retire at age 30 with a good chunk of that cash invested (hopefully) and do something else with his working life for the next 30+ years.
Or not.
He has options, which is a valuable asset for a 30 year old starting a family.
Good on ya, Joe.
