Houston Chronicle: Biggio’s pin approved by MLB

Biggio, who has been wearing the pin during spring training games his entire career, adorned the pin for the second consecutive game Friday night after the Astros received word from the commissioner’s office Wednesday it would be allowed.

“I think it’s probably just more of a misunderstanding than anything,” Biggio said. “I think when they realized what it’s all about and realized I’ve been doing it for 20 years and it’s all about the kids, now we’re back to doing our normal thing, which is nice because all the kids are happy.”
...
Biggio will also continue to wear the pin during regular-season batting practice.

Hooray for sanity!

Seriously, come on; he wears the thing in spring training and batting practice, and it makes children with cancer happy; why was this even an issue?

“I think when they realized what it’s all about and realized I’ve been doing it for 20 years and it’s all about the kids..."

Finally, SOMEBODY is thinking of the children!!

Craig Biggio should have other people's kids given to him.

I wish to state for the record that I am opposed to cancer.

"I'd hold off on a judgement like that until all the facts are in."
