Elian Soto, 15, a lefty swinger like his older brother, recently posted a video on Instagram with him wearing full Mets gear and the caption “Are you ready for what’s coming this year?” While Mets officials declined comment on the matter, Hector Gomez of Z Digital reported that Elian Soto, an outfielder/third baseman, indeed intends to sign with the Mets during the next international signing period, which is scheduled to begin on January 15. An official from another team confirmed that the league-wide expectation called for Soto to sign with the Mets for a bonus in the $50,000 range.
Like Juan Soto, Elian Soto is being advised by Scott Boras, who declined comment on the matter aside from confirming his representation. Moises de la Mota, the Mets’ supervisor of Latin American scouting, worked for the Nationals when they signed Juan Soto out of the Dominican Republic for $1.5 million.

1. Tin Angel Posted: January 10, 2022 at 03:51 PM (#6060470)Als, isn't this...illegal? I thought you had to be 16?
I realize there are a whole lot of Tik Tokkers and You Tubers who prove I'm lacking in awareness on the matter, but I think if I'm just learning of a baseball player's existence, he may not qualify as "famous."
OK, Boomer.
Close, but not quite.
Was Elian Soto widely known before the last few weeks?
wWo do we have to sleep with to allow me to post in other threads?
