Aaron Judge not in the Yankees line-up tonight:
Marly Rivera, ESPN Writer

Boone said that since Judge is dealing with "lower body tightness," he hopes the rest today and off day tomorrow will help him. When asked whether Judge would be available off the bench or whether he'll be in the lineup on Friday, Boone said "we'll see."
Clint Frazier getting an opportunity tonight, but Judge PAs are must see events.

Lower body tightness?

Manager Aaron Boone said Judge was dealing with “lower-body tightness.” When asked to elaborate, Boone mentioned Judge’s hips, hamstrings and calves.
That's a lot of tightness.

The Nationals Juan Soto with an impressive 3-run HR (466 feet) against Mets.

Willson was ejected and the cubs DH is the backup catcher, does this mean they lose the dh for the game if he goes behind the plate?

Gary Sanchez & Clint Frazier HR back-to-back for the Yankees to tie the Braves 2-2.

So, on that Bryant play. Runners on 1st and second, 1 out. Blooper to LF, Bryant dives and appears to catch the ball. Umpire rules a catch. On review, it is clearly a trap and the batter awarded 1st and runners advance. My question is, why not throw to 3B and force the runner just in case? What if Bryant did that instinctively because he knew he didn't catch it. Would the runner be out on appeal, or because the out was called, that kills the play and no potential force out is allowed?

YeH miserlou I was thinking if they didnt rule it a catch they would have gotten the runner at third since javy was right by him when he finished the play.

Man, the Red Sox really suck this season. That is all....

Is it me, or is this 3 batter minimum rule leading to more mid-inning pitcher changes?
   15. Misirlou cut his hair and moved to Rome Posted: August 12, 2020 at 08:45 PM (#5969352)
Well, here's the 4th mid-inning pitching change in the last 6 half innings.

Clint Frazier making an impression - 3-for-3, a triple short of the cycle. Will he Wally Pipp Aaron Judge? Doubtful, but he might see a lot of time in LF. LeMahieu also has 3 hits, and a stolen base. Now hitting .422. 6-2 Yankees in 5th.
   17. The Yankee Clapper Posted: August 12, 2020 at 09:25 PM (#5969354)
Juan Soto’s 2nd HR of the game, an opposite field blast, brings the Nationals within a run of the Mets, 5-4. Those 2 HRs bring Soto to 60 for his career, passing Al Kaline and & tying Ken Griffey, Jr. for 8th on the Age-21 Leaderboard. Next up: Mike Trout (62).
   18. The Yankee Clapper Posted: August 12, 2020 at 10:04 PM (#5969359)
LeMahieu triples for his 4th hit of the night. Now batting .431.

They’ve got nothing on Bo Bichette, 5-5 with a homer
