Joe Maddon’s Wrigleyville restaurant, Maddon’s Post, closes

Joe Maddon is gone from the Cubs and now his restaurant is gone from Wrigleyville.

Maddon’s Post, which opened in May right outside Wrigley Field, has closed.

Initially, it was believed that Maddon’s departure to the Los Angeles Angels wouldn’t affect the restaurant, but doors closed for good on Sunday.

Pity- for some reason, I like the idea of restaurants associated with managers lasting long after the manager is gone….

Nearly 20 years after the Rockies fired Buddy Bell, Denver still has a Taco Bell.

Only opened in May? That was not a well thought-out business plan.

Some idiot offered him money and he took it. Of course if it opened in May they probably stated planning for it back in 2017. Who would have thought he wouldn't be around back then?

I had no idea this restaurant ever existed.

According to Chicago Eater, chef Tony Mantuano’s own move from Chicago to Italy after Maddon’s move led to the decision to close Maddon’s Post.

Sounds like it was the 1-2 combination that did it in.

It will reopen as Post Maddon.

I never dared to complain about the food when I ate at Lee Elia's. The reason I ate there was because I wasn't working then and they would take food stamps.

#6 deserves more than a "well-done", that's Primey-worthy.

I just took a leak there the other day.

How were the troughs?

Sadly, despite opening just six months ago, Maddon's Post didn't employ the latest in trough technology.

Definite primey.

Maddon's Post didn't employ the latest in trough technology.

Maybe at the time you were there they had replaced the troughs, though temporarily, as there were still a few more trough changes to occur before closing.

did you see any Billygoats there?

I wonder.
Under new MLB rules do you need to need to allow 3 urinations before changing a trough?

Anything bad that happens with Joe Maddon has my full support

I heard it used to be good, and now it's just coasting on reputation alone.
