T-Bones owners have made only three of 48 monthly payments of $1,678, according to the Unified Government.

Hard to blame the landlord at that point, honestly.

The T-Bones draw reasonably well for the league - around 3,500 per game, and you know they pay the players basically nothing so you have to wonder what's going on there. The local government really bent over backwards to work with them on the payments, and it appears the team made basically no effort to make good on their debts.

A rare beef, and not well done.

The same thing looked to be happening with the CanAm team in Ottawa, but they seemed to have worked something out.

An indy league team in a AAA park - the place always looks empty.

The Rockland Boulders of the CanAm League are the result of a deal corrupt enough to have the county executive convicted of fraud and sent to prison.

But it's a really pleasant place to watch a minor league baseball game in the summer.

it's kind of what you hope for - taxpayers in a neighboring state pay the tab, while you can just visit and enjoy!

“We are shocked by what appears to be this capricious action,” Ehlert said in a statement on the T-Bones’ Facebook page. “We have been in close communication with the UG, keeping them apprised of our status as we work toward a sale of the club. Today’s timing is the real surprise, as we’ve shared publicly — and with the UG — that a sale will not be completed or announced during the season.”

"Hey, what's the big deal? We've already told them that we're trying to make this someone else's problem, why don't they just leave us alone? Big government, man, amirite?"
