Double-A: $13,800 to $30,250

High-A: $11,000 to $27,300

Single-A: $11,000 to $26,200

1. Seems good
2. About time
3. Probably still below minimum wage

Also:

The deal includes the reduction of the maximum Domestic Reserve List, which governs the number of players a team can roster outside of its Dominican Republic complexes, from 180 to 165 starting in 2024.

OK pay, free food and housing (for player and family ) and the ability to still work in the offseason. Not horrible. Way better than the existence they had before.

I'd like to see some math on how much it costs to run the minor league system. Never quite understood what the MILB owners pay and what MLB pays and how the revenue works - is their revenue sharing with MLB? If MLB is paying all these costs what costs do MILB owners have ?

Great work by the union--those are huge increases, making playing minor league ball livable.

The only one close is the Complex League. Florida minimum wage is $11/hr and increasing to $12/hr in September. A full time job (40 hours/52 weeks) that pays $19,800 comes out to $9.52/hr. Assuming 6 months at 50 hours/week (10 hours of OT at time and half), you get $13.85/hr. This doesn't factor in the housing.

Is there any data on how many players make the minimum?

I've never seen it - but my reading has suggested "lots".

Players will now reach minor league free agency a year earlier than before if they signed at 19 or older; this is a good thing.

If you include the room and board they're well above minimum wage. That also doesn't include benefits or signing bonuses. It should be high enough pay that taxpayers are longer subsidizing minor league baseball players through EBT and the earned income credit.

How many players do the teams carry on the roster at various levels. It seems to me they 26 is too many for minor league baseball

Not really. They need at least as many if not more pitchers. Probably want to carry 3 Cs, don't want guys playing out of position.

Active roster sizes are 28 for AAA and AA, 30 for lower levels.

EDIT: I will say I think there's a pretty good case to be made that the minors should play 7-inning games ... unless that means cutting off beer sales after 5!

This is great news for the minor league players, and baseball as a whole.

FG Article on New Minor League Union Agreement

This article goes a lot more deeply into the details, including changes to housing and meals.

One of the main advantages of coolant for Aluminum Radiator is its ability to transfer heat from the engine to the radiator more efficiently. Coolant has many advantages over traditional coolants, especially when used in Aluminum Radiators. Sean Hoyt
