Must-see: Memphis Redbirds will wear ‘organ-themed’ uniforms

The Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, are holding an “Organ Donor Night” at AutoZone Park on Aug. 13 and these are the jerseys that they are planning to wear:

Organs in Memphis? Booker T approves!

Sweet! I'd like to see some phrenology helmets too.

Seriously, donate your organs. You don't need them at that point.

Organ Donor by DJ Shadow is probably the favourite song right now.

Those jerseys are pretty interesting to say the least

Wow, I love that album. Great track too.

I think that The Tuneyards may be pushing that sound.

Ick.

And you can donate intestines?

That should be "the twins favourite song right now"

I think that The Tuneyards may be pushing that sound.

No need to click on the link - I have the album and love it!

(big shout out to Mattbert who got me into it via the new music thread)

Please don't show the pants.

IIRC, they sometimes transplant the small intestine, at least.

Not only can you transplant the intestines :)

I think it is admirable that the Redbirds are devoting a night to providing musical instruments to the needy. But how are you supposed to get those old pianos and keyboards to the park? Will they fit through the turnstiles and, ...oh, never mind.

No, but once they sucker you into signing that donor card anything goes. I think they use 'em to make violin strings.

Wow, I didn't know that this cartoon was based on reality. Holy...

They should put a design on the cap too, just in case.

Fecal Transplants

It sounds incredibly disgusting, but they're amazing and can really help people. A guy I knew had one (from his wife) after chemo and treatments for several nasty infections killed off all of his useful gut flora. It really turned him around, ultimately it probably saved his life.

Wonder what the White Sox will wear to honor Nancy Faust.

Don't know but I can hear Ozzie's rant now ... "We were honoring Nancy Faust tonight right? Well we ran the ####### bases like our ####### players were carrying ####### organs on their ####### backs, those two-bit worthless pieces of ####."

I had nightmares as a kid about Slim Goodbody.
