1. Los Angeles El Hombre of Anaheimyep, the Cyclones have special uniforms for Seinfeld Night on July 13.
the bobbleheads, no kidding, are Lloyd Braun and The Maestro.
As a bonus, Edwin Jackson (0-2, 9.00ERA) takes the mound in Colorado tonight.
The odds are moving towards return engagements at this point but just scanning the standings - it looks like sucking bad might be the better option such that either the Giants or Royals take a why not chance.
Incidentally, Jackson's 0-2 performance with Toronto gives him as many bbref batting runs as Vlad Jr's 116 PA.
Oh wait, it's the 4th inning. My bad.
huh, yu darvish picks today to decided he's still good.
i'm not sure i'm going to make it through this game, just on general angst, ennui and weltschmerz.
Please give examples instead of saying "the team hustled with him in August of last year."....
Update: and he’s still out there pitching....
Though knowing the Jays he’ll get at least 6 more starts.
so somehow the Brewers are going to win?
just kidding of course, this game is just so 'nothing' going on right now.
I'm not watching, but following along on gameday, it's seemed like a mostly dull affair with neither team really taking advantage of the handful of scoring opportunities.
Basically Shildt is Red Schoendist(another incompetent tactical manager) but without the same level of professionalism/quality among his players.
CAN'T ANYBODY PLAY THIS STINKIN' GAME?
Also, with the bizarro injury to Correa, Alex Bregman is playing SS for the 'Stros.

Yankees Most Wins in May in Last 60 Years:
20-7 2019
20-7 1998
19-9 2002
19-7 1980
19-8 1978
Just freaking end it.
maples walks gyorko on 4 bad pitches, but boy he got screwed on that last pitch to bader.
laz diaz is the home plate ump, i think that explains a lot about the calls tonight.
If you can only muster a run over 10 innings and that's via a sac fly by your pitcher, you deserve to lose.
oh heavens, i honestly can not believe we won this game.
You haven't paid attention to the Cubs for the last week. The offense is pathetic. That first inning summed it all up: Get runners on base and squander.
Neither pitching staff deserved to lose. And neither offense really deserved to win. Although the Cardinals put together a nice rally there in the 10th.
Right, the pitching was fine. The offense is a mess right now.
"Mets TV analyst Nelson Figueroa has been fired from his job with SNY, The New York Post has learned.
Figueroa was let go Friday morning after he showed up Thursday in what was described by sources as a state not fit to work. Figueroa reportedly demanded to still appear on SNY’s evening program, “Baseball Night in New York,” but was not permitted to appear.
An SNY spokeswoman confirmed that Figueroa is no longer working at the network. She declined to provide further details."
Mets trail 4-3 in the 8th after blowing a 3-0 lead, looks like bags loaded, 2 out.
no third-base ump apparently due to medical reasons, and the lone remaining CarGo in MLB smacks one down the line. the 50-something ballman snags the hit well down the line. Mets get 2 runs and the lead - but do they get 3?
Chelsea will decide.
