1. Hombre BrotaniScherzer 3 IP, 1 H, 5 K - it's like he never left

Kyle Schwarber's second homer of the game, 25th of the season, puts him on pace for 50 this season. That would be the most by a #Phillies hitter since Ryan Howard hit 58 in 2006.
Giambi
Soriano (the only one the booth did not get)
Winfield
A-Rod
Stanton (who just hit his 100th for NYY)
Reggie
Giancarlo
I liked the question because it's neither ridiculously easy nor ridiculously hard.
The anti-Matsui clause.
in other news, Mad Max leaves after 6 IP of 0 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 11 K - that'll play !
Mets +59
Braves +58
Phillies +56
Mets still the division favorite with their pitchers coming back, but it would fun if this got interesting down the stretch.
EDiT: Nope, not even close
I have so far fanned on Chili Davis (why did I think he was with the Yanks for 4-5 years?) and Oscar. Don Baylor at least wasn't a terrible guess (141 Angels, 71 Yanks).
EDIT: O'Neill missed it by just 4 Reds HRs.
EDIT2: Hideki Matsui. :-)
EDIT3: Sorry, missed Tex being certified, thought he was wrong. And there was already a Matsui comment. A six pack of brand, new, rebranded once again Coke Zero Sugar to Primate HQ and I'll let them sort out who gets what.
and I am not that much of a trivia fan.
but I'll give a good, challenging but manageable question its due.
BITD we had a trivia fanatic who got the answer right too many dozens of weeks in a row.
I came up with a couple that stumped him (and this is WAY before the innerwebs existed), and wow did he mewl to my bosses.
maybe he felt humiliated or something, which is weird because - really, you think most people notice if your name got listed in the short or long tiny box of newsprint listing correct answers once a week?
............
(and there was much rejoicing in many BBTF precincts)

Hansel Robles has been designated for assignment. Red Sox needed a spot on the roster for Bello’s activation
Bryant just hit his first for the Rockies. Let's hope there are still hundreds left in that bat.
a Primate also noted that the June sked could have been reworked to allow for July 4 fun.
Pirates are now 6-1 against LAD and NYY this year.
Cabrera has reworked his approach this year; he has given up on hitting for power (only seven doubles and three homers), but he's batting .307 after a 3-for-3 showing tonight. He's always used the whole field, but this season he seems to prioritize going the other way like Wade Boggs 2.0.
If he keeps it up and doesn't get injured - always a big if - he'll most likely leap to 13th place, ahead of Mel Ott and right behind Willie Mays, at the end of 2022.
Cardinals have a few:
Johnny Mize (Giants),
Albert Pujols (Angels),
Matt Holliday (Rockies),
Mark McGwire (A's),
Scott Rolen (Phillies)
with Matt Carpenter (Yankees) destined to join that group in about 3 years.
Jim Thome (Indians)
Carlton Fisk (Red Sox)
Adam Dunn (Reds)
