Patrick Corbin has made Michael Wacha throw 18 pitches to him in two at bats.

He's fouled off eight pitches in those two AB. Wacha should be able to put away a pitcher.

EDIT: although looking it up, I see Corbin is a decent-hitting pitcher. Decent means, like, horrible backup catcher hitter, but still.

Jose Martinez, professional hitter.

Mets, down 4-2 in the 4th, use a single by P Wheeler and four walks - two with the bases loaded - to tie it up. a near-wild pitch doesn't quite plate another run.

a disgusted Keith Hernandez: "This is not Major League quality baseball."

announcers mentioning that luke voit has been named AL player of the week, and i'm wondering 'why did we trade this guy', not realizing that gallegos is striking out a couple of nats in relief.

still, i liked ol' luke ...

Honestly, no spot for him. Nobody really thought he was going to be a 150 ops+ hitter, he's overplaying his skills and projections, which is great, but he wasn't going to take playing time from any Cardinal.

bader with a diving catch!!!

he's so fun to watch.

Jesus Aguilar with 2 homers and 3 hits tonight. Dude has had a pretty terrible start so this is big news in Brewerville

Where is everyone! Red Sox, after using up every ounce of goodwill last year, are going to win a game! And have scored nearly 10 runs! Let the 9-1 stretch begin!

#14, other then the guy listed 2nd on the list, that is an unimpressive group of ex players....

Though I did search Choo-Choo Coleman just because...

the famous story is HOFer Ralph Kiner on Kiner's Korner postgame show in that first 1962 season:

Kiner asked Coleman, "What is your wife's name and what's she like?"

Coleman famously replied, "Her name is Mrs. Coleman and she likes me, bub."

Is Cody Bellinger this good?

If Jesse Winker keeps pirouetting around the bases after homers and taunting the fans in opposing ballparks, he's a likely candidate for a beer shower in the near future.

Shouldn't Gary Carter be there somewhere?
