HOW WILL THE ANGELS LOSE TODAY?!

The first place Mets are so banged-up that Dom Smith is in LF with the DH available.

ALL RISE! AND KEEP STANDING. Two solo Aaron Judge HRs give Yankees a 2-1 lead over the Orioles. He may be on the verge of getting hot.

Here's a weird one for 2021:

MLB, 1st batter in game: 308 OBP
MLB, #1 spot in the lineup: 341 OBP

Yes, leadoff men are putting up a 341 OBP overall but just 308 1st time. The Reds are over 400 overall and for 1st batter. Cleveland 1st batters have put up a 171 OBP.

Dan McLaughlin earlier mentioned that the cardinals are 17-0 when Edman scores a run.

That’s pretty remarkable if true.

He just scored to make it 1-3 in the 5th, so I guess we’ll put it to the test.

Yan Gomes, a HR short of the cycle in the 9th, settles for a single against a position player pitching to complete his 5-hit contribution to the Nationals 20-hit effort. Leading Arizona 14-1, and still threatening.

EDIT: Andrew Stevenson’s 3-run HR makes it 17-1.
