The Orioles agreed to a one-year deal with infielder Adam Frazier on Thursday. Terms of the contract were not announced, but a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand it’s for $8 million.
Though the O’s have been relatively quiet so far this winter, a move for Frazier gives them a versatile veteran presence in the infield to pair with rookie shortstop Gunnar Henderson. Frazier has also seen time in the outfield, appearing in 38 games there for the Mariners last season.
The 31-year-old spent the first five seasons of his career with the Pirates and was an All-Star in 2021, when he was traded to the Padres at the Deadline. He’s a career .273/.336/.392 hitter but is coming off a down season with the Mariners, where he posted a career-low .612 OPS.

ChatGPT: Sure! Here's a humorous comment about the Orioles signing Adam Frazier: "Well, I guess the Orioles figured if they can't hit home runs like the Yankees, they might as well try to steal bases like the Reds! Welcome to Baltimore, Adam Frazier!"
