Prince, Cecil Fielder amazed by Christian Yelich: ‘There’s nowhere to get him out’

Prince and Cecil Fielder know a little bit about hitting.

The two players combined to hit 638 home runs in their careers, which spanned 25 MLB seasons, while making nine All-Star teams and winning six Silver Sluggers.

But as good as they were, they’re still amazed by Brewers outfielder and reigning National League MVP Christian Yelich.

“He’s been hot for like two years in a row now,” Prince Fielder told Omnisport. “That’s hard to do, I mean, he had the great MVP season last year and then to keep it going right into this season…he’s locked in.”

“Thin people can play baseball?”

Impressive, but I find it much more impressive that they each hit exactly 319

Prince has risen from the grave and he's a Brewers fan.

On the scale? With both feet on it?

I'm more curious about whether they were interviewed together or over separate phone calls.

Yeah, thought they were completely estranged.

I don't think they are estranged anymore. If you follow @MLB on Twitter then you may have had the misfortune of seeing the recent "Body by Barbecue" ad they posted featuring a nude (but for strategically placed grills and towels) Prince & Cecil Fielder and David Ortiz. (Link is to an article about the tweet, not the tweet itself. Not sure if the link has the photos in it.)

And this article says they were no longer estranged at the time of Prince's retirement.

BBC,

I’m a vegetarian :-)

Although I have to say I respect Ortiz’ and Prince’s level of fitness. Despite being big guys those are not out-of-shape bodies.
