1. The Duke Posted: July 21, 2022 at 01:00 PM (#6087610)I was thinking the same thing as Clapper--Bell looks like the best option for a 1b upgrade. He's a few agent at the end of the year and the Nats are going nowhere so he's probably available.
Pricey: Christian Walker ARI; Nate Lowe TEX ... both pricey only because they have so much service time left
Cheap: Either of the Marlins guys (Jesus Aguilar, Garrett Cooper) would be a serviceable half of a platoon.
I didn't check the DH lists, maybe somebody there who can handle 1B defensively.
Dom's a crummy outfielder but he's fine at 1B - bb-ref has him at 3 runs below average for his career at 1b, and 2 above average since his rookie season.
Hunter Dozier if you don't mind him missing the series in Toronto!
