1. Harmon "Thread Killer" Microbrew Posted: March 31, 2023 at 11:23 AM (#6122020)https://www.mlb.com/news/hunter-renfroe-makes-no-look-catch
every time I see an Angels highlight it's like "Mike Trout hit three homes runs and raised his average to .528 while Shohei Ohtani did something that hasn't been done since 'Tungsten Arm' O'Doyle of the 1921 Akron Groomsmen, as the Tigers defeated the Angels 8-3"
Today I learned that if you search for "Tungsten Arm O'Doyle" on Baseball-Reference, it takes you to Ohtani's page. Outstanding.
That no-look catch by Hunter Renfroe was one of the best plays in recent memory. Pretty amazing.
That is a crazy catch by Renfroe. I mean, he made it much harder than it had to be, but still really entertaining and difficult.
It was an amazing finish after a terrible route.

yeah, I'm thinking if you're an outfielder, you shouldn't be trying "no-look" catches very often.
That catch was both incredible and embarrassing at the same time. It's amazing to watch, but a major league outfielder should really take better routes to fly balls.
move to Hawaii. No squirrels.
Also, no hummingbirds.
So I guess it's a wash.
Must be the time difference
