Looking up at the Rays in the standings isn’t sitting well with him, it appears.
Boston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Drew is suffering from vertigo and was held out of Friday’s starting lineup against the Baltimore Orioles.
The oft-injured Drew is batting .281 with four home runs and 22 RBI in 44 games for the reigning World Series champion Red Sox.

Cue U2 and Hitchcock jokes.
Because you have vertigo?
Hola!
I'm at a place called vertigo
It's everything I wish I didn't know
Except you give me something I can feel
Feel
What about the Liza Minelli jokes?
Liza Minelli is the joke.
[Moises] Alou out of lineup with all seven seasons of "Golden Girls"
And of course, Steve Lyons was let go by Fox because he's . . . a racist.
Fortunately, they're playing the Birds.
Pupil problems and Vertigo? sounds like he has a neurological problem!
Also, I can't take a dump on this ,because i get occasional vertigo.

Question is, do you take the day off on those occasions?
I take the morning off and go back to work/school in the afternoon.
Edit: It happens about 4 times a year: not a huge deal.
I confess he's never been one of my favorite players, but I wish him the best here.
I can't wait to hear a report on Drew from a foreign correspondent; I'm just spellbound waiting for more news.
Have they ever been on the field at the same time?
They managed to play a few games together with the Dodgers without colliding into each other.
Ahhh, a good explanation for DePo's demise -- he was playing two players and getting less than one player's production.
Definitely a fire/ice combo.
I drafted both on my roto team but quickly corrected myself and dealt JD.
Unfortunately, Tippi Martinez left Baltimore several presidential administrations ago.
Drew hasn't been on the DL since joining the Red Sox. His problem has been a lack of power (his HR today brought his slugging up to only .434).
Or am I missing some joke that has to do with you capitalizing Rope and Lodger?
Yes. It's part of the running, not-very-funny Hitchcock joke throughout this thread.
Ah I remember #######. A little-known classic in the Hitchock oeuvre.
I'll have you know that the neighbors I killed were straight males, Mr Holier-Than-Thou.
Yes! Kos Kidz Kill! (socially dangerous hate speech dead!)

Hey, give G-Bub credit. 38 was authentically witty.
That's the trouble with Gary.
I don't think that the Cardinals got what they were hoping for when they Dialed M for Mulder.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to this series against Tampa coming up (yeah, I know there's still another game against Baltimore.)
