Star Wars and Game of Thrones among highlights from Orioles 2019 promotional calendar

Pouring over your favorite baseball team’s promotional schedule is a time-honored tradition, and Orioles fans finally have the chance to mark their calendars with this year’s best items to add to their collections.

The Orioles announced their 2019 promotional schedule this week, and fans are already excited about some of the best giveaways and theme nights that Camden Yards has to offer this season.

And yes, before you ask, they’ll be bringing back fan favorites like the floppy hats and hawaiian shirts.

I’d rather not imagine how a Game Of Thrones-themed promotion would go….

Why? It just makes the schedule wet and difficult to read.

They're pouring gasoline. I mean, might as well beat the Orioles to the punch, right??

This one seems obvious. Pace Cersei Lannister: you win or you die! Expect a lot of dead Orioles on May 21.

The Red Sox had a big lefty at Star Wars Day in 2011.

Forfeiting all the home games and replacing them with SW movies and GoT viewings on the jumbotron is a bold move, but it just might be what the franchise needs to get back on track....

This year, the Mets have an Obi-Wan CANO-bi bobblehead day and also something to do with Noah Syndergaard and Game of Thrones.

interesting

here and i thought the best promotion would be putting the best actual major league ballplayers on the field and having a winning team, but hey, it's not like i claim to be some geeeenyusss or something

To be fair, slitting the throats of all of their competition is really the only chance the Orioles have of winning any games.

Do the Padres come to town? Flaying Manny would certainly draw a crowd.

We have been to Star Wars day a few times at Nats Park and always have a good time.

We will go to a couple Orioles games this year, as we do every year, basically just because Camden Yards is nice to be in, and a day of the national acquarium, crabcakes, the inner harbor, and a ballgame is tough to beat. The quality of the baseball is secondary.
