Please let it be literal, and please let it be brutal.
Yeah, OK. Having the privilege of helping to decide whether or not Barry Bonds deserves to be in the Hall of Fame hardly strikes me as being "agonizing". Cancer treatment, now that's agonizing.
I really don't think it's going to be agonizing. Not only is Joey right about the importance of this stuff but the reality is that I would estimate 80-90% of the voters have already made up their minds. Some are "keep 'em all out", some are "everyone did it, let 'em in" and some are "Bonds and Clemens yes, anything less no" but I doubt there are many out there still wrestling with the decision.

The voters keeping out "juicers" are doing nothing more than shouting "Look at me! Over here! Yoohoo! You think you're so smart but I'm still relevant! See how I've made this process all about ME!!!!"

we should just copy these first 4 posts into every steroid thread from now on and then move on to ... um ... movies or the election or something.

I like the idea of McGwire, Bonds, Clemens, Palmeiro and the rest going to Cooperstown some July weekend in the not too distant future. As they sit around watching Craig Biggio give his acceptance speech, confusion sets in as to why they aren't up there as well. Then anger of the roid rage variety, but also hunger. So they decide to go on a binge and eat every sportswriter they can find.
I heard that Mitt Romney used Obamacare to get steroids so he could learn to play guitar better than the guys in Pavement. He just needs to figure out which ZIP code to have them delivered too.

So were O'Connor's mystifying comments regarding Jack Conlin.
Only to folks who were hell-bent on being mystified.
