Seriously, these articles reached pointless awhile ago. Seems like writers feel like since this is a weird situation that’s gone on so long that there must be something else to say about it, but there really isn’t. There also isn’t any immediate pressure to get this done, it’s not really precluding the Mets from making other plans, which I’d imagine would have to be via trade if they want another meaningful upgrade, and I really don’t think Correa has any other chance at this sort of money anywhere else.

So it could go on for another month. Or be done today! Please hire me, NY Post!

At least this has an actual quote from Cohen and not "sources close to the Mets" or whatever.
