Steven Matz fiasco just latest dud from Mets rotation

“One of those nights,” Callaway said, more than once.

“That,” Matz said glumly, “was just a poor effort tonight.”

I like and respect Mike Vaccaro. I think he's a really good guy and I like his writing a lot.

That being said, this piece is pretty weak sauce from him. Can we at least get to May before we figure the rotation will be mediocre-at-best?

Matz's performance was fairly predictable, considering that Gary and Keith spent a while during the prior night's game talking about how Matz looked like he had turned a corner this season.

No loss is good obviously; but if you're going to lose a game, this is the best case scenario. A fully rested bullpen going into the rubber match today with a day off tomorrow. Nice job by Gagnon and Sewald to eat innings.

Even more predictable given that I added Matz to my fantasy team rotation for this week.

You BASTARD!

Buying high and selling low are the two fantasy market inefficiencies I employ most often!

Easily the best part of last night's broadcast was when Gary and Keith reported Ron Darling's surgery went well.

Some of that defense....wow.

Steven Matz Fiasco is the name of my Pete Falcone tribute band.
