Taking Back the Ballparks - Mets voting thread

It’s time for the Mets vote.

Here are your choices.

1) Citi Field
2) City
If this is your selection, choose between Field or Park
3) Gotham Grounds
4) Metropolitan Stadium
5) Willets Point.

Voting will run through this time next Monday, at which point the team with a name Al Michaels couldn’t recall on two separate occasions
yesterday will be on the clock.

Missed the nominations thread, or I would have gone with "The Chop Shop" because of all the sketchy auto shops nearby.

Probably because I did in Post 1. And that's not a mistake I should have made, having been the one to list the choices in the first place.

A little over an hour left to get your vote in.

City Field

A late rally by supporters of Metropolitan Park closed the gap considerably, but not enough to overtake the new moniker, Willets Point.

The Angels thread will go up this afternoon.

I could be wrong, but after a quick scan it looks to me like Mets fans and NYC residents prefer the "City Field" name. Should local fans get double votes?

Should local fans get double votes?

That would be a little unwieldy, given most of us don't identify where we're from in our profiles.

Local fans are encouraged to bring along friends for the voting, which was kind of the hope in the first place.
