Last month, I was reading that Mike Rowe (the Dirty Jobs host) was sued by another guy named Mike Rowe - this guy is in federal prison. Among the complaints is embarassment that Mike Rowe is a spokesman for Lee jeans, which the other Mike Rowe doesn't support.
Now, Mike Rowe (the celeb) is responding to the suit ... telling TMZ, "My attorneys are taking the charges very seriously. Naturally, since I got my last name from my Dad, I'm preparing my own lawsuit against him."
He adds, "And since my first name was my Mother's idea, she'll be named as well. It's a bit awkward, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna be left holding the bag on this one."
"If they'd named me Steve or Frank, none of this would be an issue. As for the other Mike Rowe, I really do feel his pain, and can only suggest that he avoid Lee jeans while behind bars. They really do make your butt look good."
For four dollars, Pete Rose will sign "I peed on David Price's car" on your baseball. For five dollars, he'll pee on David Price's car instead of yours next time.

There are tragedies that are funny because, well, they're kinda funny.
Then there are tragedies that are treated as funny because we don't want to contemplate how horrific they really are.

I'm reminded of the 1990s joke about Bill Clinton looking out of the Oval Office windows to find the words "F--- THE PRESIDENT" written in urine on the White House lawn. The FBI is called to investigate, and presently the FBI director meets with Clinton. "We ran the tests, Mr. President, and it was Al Gore's urine. Unfortunately... it was in Hillary's handwriting."

Stop prison rape.

Good for you. Seriously. The idea that rape is funny because it involves only men is thoroughly disgusting and contemptible.
