This looks like it'd be a fun competitive event all its own.

Amazing slide. Stating the obvious but wow

A Javy special with some added flair with the bait and switch.

Really well done.

That's video game level of movement with that left hand. The way he's just going straight in, then boom he just pulls that sucker straight back and goes around with the right hand.

Really fun stuff to watch.

Love it when stuff like this happens - high marks for that runner. Every so often a baserunner does something that makes you go 'cool' (my favorite has to be Chris Coghlan jumping over the catcher to avoid a tag and score).

I'm a fan of this type of play being overturned (if they called it out I mean) by replay, but I'm still not a fan of a replay being used to overturn a guy jostling off the bag after beating the throw, I know it's a double standard, but I think it is in the proper spirit.

And yes, excellent next level slide. That is something you can't do on a feet first slide.

Everyone involved in that play did pretty much exactly what you'd hope.

The outfielder turned and threw a near perfect strike, given the time he had to field that.
The infielder received that throw and since he had his back to the runner to receive it, did a great job of trying to apply the tag.
The batter/runner hustled out of the box and stretched that for a double with that insane slide.
The umpire was in perfect position to see the entire play and made the correct call.

That's just great baseball from start to finish.

Well, not exactly but the fade slide is a similar concept, I even pulled it off a few times in softball. Go in right foot forward with left foot trailing but pointed out not tucked under. Slide to the right of the bag, hope the fielder's tag follows the front foot, hook the bag with the left foot.
