Yankees bring back Tyler Wade in trade with Angels

Tyler Wade is coming back to where he started.

The Yankees are acquiring the versatile Wade from the Angels for a player to be named later, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed on Thursday, further bolstering their organizational depth. Wade will report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Wade was designated for assignment by the Yankees in November to make room on their 40-man roster, leading to a trade to the Angels. But after hitting .215 with a 56 OPS-plus and eight steals in 67 games for Los Angeles, Wade was DFA’d again by the Angels on July 3.

The 27-year-old Wade had the best year of his career last season with the Yankees – the last of his five seasons in The Bronx – when he hit .268 with a 91 OPS-plus and 17 steals. He bounced around between shortstop, third base, second base and all three outfield spots.
