Yankees’ Gleyber Torres Luke Voit, and Clint Frazier have reached Super Two status and will be eligible for contract arbitration following the 2021 season. Dom Smith also reached Super Two status for the Mets.
The Super Two designation means that all four players will have four years of arbitration eligibility, rather than three, before they become free agents after the 2024 season.
To qualify for the Super Two designation, players must rank in the top 22 percent, in terms of service time, among those who have amassed between two and three years in the Majors, according to MLB.com.
