Disclaimer: ZiPS projections are computer-based projections of performance.
Performances have not been allocated to predicted playing time in the majors -
many of the players listed above are unlikely to play in the majors at all in 2008.
ZiPS is projecting equivalent production - a .240 ZiPS projection may end up
being .280 in AAA or .300 in AA, for example. Whether or not a player will play
is one of many non-statistical factors one has to take into account when predicting
the future.
Players are listed with their most recent teams unless Dan has made a mistake.
This is very possible as a lot of minor-league signings are generally unreported in
the offseason.
ZiPS is projecting based on the AL having a 4.49 ERA and the NL having a 4.40 ERA.

I've never looked into it, but some people seem to think there is - DTs have age relative to level as a component of the translation.
"Asshat" was your term, not mine.
If I called Dan a "moron", \"############\", or "shithead", then that would be uncalled for. And I wouldn't do that.
But when I simply continued your humorous (I thought, maybe you were being serious) scenario from 5 posts earlier, I don't think my intent is too hard to figure out. Probably not overly skilled, true. But also certainly not subtle.
Walt was saying his joke was too subtle. The poster picked up that you were joking but thought Walt was serious in calling you out.
Or are you being subtle now too?
I was then trying to humorously take the high road. That's what I get for not using a smiley.
I assume you'll do a TO on the Lieber signing, but if not, could you post his Wrigley Field projection here?
Thanks!
