Thanks for posting the Call for Abstracts, Mike.
With the invaluable assistance of Jacob Pomrenke, we're putting together an online form for submitting abstracts for SABR45. I'm not absolutely certain that we can shake out all the potential bugs in time, so authors shouldn't delay sending in abstracts in anticipation of the form. Emailed abstracts in MS Word or plain text will be happily and eagerly accepted.
And of course we're also looking for abstract reviewers. You can be a reviewer if you're also submitting abstracts, so don't hesitate to volunteer by sending a message to one of the "-presentations" addresses. Why wait for Scott and me to nag everybody who has previously submitted, reviewed, or judged SABR research presentations (and we will nag those people)? Avoid that last-minute plea by adding your name to the roster of reviewers and/or onsite judges ASAP!

I am thinking about something on the Burke/MacPhail Yankees. Or a history of the draft. But it is likely I will wait until Neal and Scott bug me some more. Not ready to confirm yet.

I should add that your submission doesn't have to be related to Chicago baseball, although we always like to have a local flavor among the presentations. (And submitting something on Chicago baseball isn't necessarily going to make it more likely that your submission will be accepted...)

I got in under the wire yesterday. Usually about now I hear that the deadline has been extended.

We actually got a larger response than usual this year, but we'll always accept some stragglers for a few days after the deadline. Neal hasn't sent out the mass email to reviewers yet (AFAIK), so a couple of late entries won't slow us down.
BTW, if you're interested in reviewing, please email us at the addresses in the original posting.
Also, if you sent in an abstract and didn't get an auto-reply saying we received your submission, please resend!
