This is far too rational and evenhanded for the Internet. As you say the 88 win piece is encouraging. The amazing thing to me is the 5-5 record over the last ten. It's remarkable the way they've played that they are getting some results.
Point three is such a great point. You wrote about cascading problems awhile back but Price getting hot like he did for Toronto last year would be a cascading solution.
Right now my biggest fear is that Dombrowski will deal Moncada or Espinoza. In my mind those are the guys who need to be untouchable. As much as I like Devers and Benintendi I'd be willing to move either guy in the right deal.

Damn. I was going for incoherent and unhinged. Gotta work on that.

After getting their teeth kicked in by jack-booted thugs wearing bowler hats and harmonizing to singing in the rain they have had two nice wins. Shaw is hitting again - maybe, O'Sullivan did enough to probably get another chance, HanRam is downright hot. I think we have weathered the storm.
They still need more pitching. Wright and Price and pray for Snow and Ice. They're on pace to score 900 runs, though, so at least it's mostly entertaining.

No way Moncada gets dealt.

Agree on part 1, you need to figure Porcello into your 2nd sentence though. The dude pretty much gives you 6 2/3 every game and gives up 3-4 runs. It's incredibly consistent and with our 5+ per game offense, it's working so far.
Slots 4 and 5 could be filled by Jose and Idiom and I reckon they'd do just as well.
The Indians just DFA'd Chamberlain, not really sure why. It'd be nice to pick him up and try him out, if only to give some of the guys in the pen with options some rest in Pawtucket.

We knew the back of the "rotation" has been bad, but those numbers are an upscale from dumpster fire to nuclear meltdown. Some comparative percentages between the top three and the dreck, using bbmck's categories (most of them):
