(and man, is it me or is every loss “frustrating” in some way these days, there’s no simple loss lately)
What would be a simple loss? Starter falls behind but lineup doesn't catch up? Given the starters in question even that is frustrating. I mean, on this site we had people talking in advance of Buchholz's last start that they'd plan to show up 45 minutes late so as not to watch him give up 3 runs early. And what does Buchholz do? Gives up 3 in the first two innings. There's a consistency to their failure.

Otherwise, I have nothing to add. You throw an optimistic thread out there and I'm all over it. Five Therapoints™ to you, one for each deserving All-Star. (The Kimbrel selection surprises me - not that he hasn't been good, but there aren't better pitching performances this year?)

Oh, and the final vote includes a potential 7th: Pedroia.

The 21-2 loss? Not frustrating.
Wright has given up a lot of UER's by the way. They count.

Yeah, you know not a game where we get destroyed but not a game like last night that was eminently winnable but we couldn't get a clutch hit to save our lives. It just seems like there's never a loss where it's "eh, one of those nights."

But I'll take my Therapoints and run. Can I get them on a gift certificate Pat? Even the frustrating losses are generally fun to watch. There are a lot of exciting talents on this team.

You lose 1 Therapoint™ for asking for a gift certificate, and 5 Therapoints™ for calling me Pat. [/sadtrombone]

If we have a "simple loss" tonight you're going into Theradebt™.

I am so happy that Papi is going out this way. I just hope the Sox can make the postseason for him.

More of a Chuck Woolery fan than Pat Sajak were you?

You would have earned Therapoints™ if you'd asked to cash them in for a ceramic dalmation.
